DiscreetFX Hottie® Contest

Chicago, – September 27, 2009 – Visual Effects developer DiscreetFX Inc., developer of animated effects elements/transitions for TriCaster, VT[5], SpeedEDIT & Final Cut Studio sponsors a contest for it's lead Virtual Character Hottie. Looking for some extra cash in this tough economic climate? Win a cool $1000 from us just using your LightWave 3D modeling and character animation skills. Make a thirty second to one minute character animation of DiscreetFX's registered trademark character Hottie® and win. Character animation skills matter more than the length of your video demo. Runner up prizes will also be offered. The winner of the contest will have several opportunity's for more paid Hottie® animation work. Offical contest rules are listed below.

 

Contest Rules

 

1. Animation must be created with LightWave 3D® any version from NewTek Inc.

 

2. No LW3D Models to create animation are supplied from DiscreetFX. If you create a great Hottie model, it can be sold to DiscreetFX after the contest for an agreed upon sum.

 

3. Animation must be thirty seconds to one minute in length.

 

4. Animation must use DiscreetFX registered trademark Virtual Character; Hottie.

 

5. LightWave 3D Character animation skills are a must.

 

6. All submitted animations become the property of DiscreetFX. Animators can use submitted animations in their demo reel as long as they mention Hottie is a registered trademark of DiscreetFX.

 

7. You may still be considered for future animation work even if you don't win the contest.

 

8. Runner up prizes will also be offered.

 

9. Contest deadline is December 20th, 2009, but the sooner you submit your animation the better.

 

10. Animations should be saved as high quality TGA frames and include a lower quality AVI or Quicktime animated preview.

 

11. Animations when complete can be submitted via FTP. Request your FTP account when animation is ready to upload to our servers.
